Terms of Use

These terms cover the educational editorial package as delivered and require legal review once a verified publisher and jurisdiction are selected.

Prepublication: legal publisher, address, governing law and final contact details remain explicit placeholders.

Acceptance

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

Editorial scope

Articles provide general educational discussion of myth, visual culture, decorative design and material practice. They are not conservation instructions for a historic object, professional appraisal or authentication.

No provenance guarantee

A visual resemblance, image search or editorial comparison cannot establish origin, date, maker, cultural affiliation or legal title. Consult the responsible museum, conservator or qualified specialist for object-specific decisions.

Intellectual property

Original text, layout and generated editorial images are reserved by the final publisher. The Met engraving is public domain and remains credited to its source. Third-party texts, trademarks and linked resources belong to their respective rights holders.

Permitted use

Readers may link to public pages and quote brief passages with attribution. Republishing complete articles, removing credit information or presenting original illustrations as historical artefacts is not permitted without authorization.

External links

Links support verification but the journal does not control third-party availability, content or policy changes.

Availability and liability

The site is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for decisions made solely from general editorial material or for third-party services.

Governing terms

The verified publisher must insert the applicable governing law, court or dispute process before public launch.
